Framily Roots: The Foundation of Pureland Farms

At Pureland Farms, the heart of everything we do revolves around family, friendship, and a shared passion for raising food the right way. Our journey began not just as a business venture but as a coming together of two families who share a deep love for the land and a commitment to sustainable farming practices. Today, we want to take you behind the scenes and introduce you to the people who make Pureland Farms what it is—a labor of love, built on the foundation of family and friendship.

Two Families, One Vision

Pureland Farms is the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and the belief that food should be raised naturally, sustainably, and with care. It all started with two best friends, Nate Standifer and Christian Panagiotakis, who shared a dream of raising their own food. That dream quickly expanded as they realized they could provide not just for their own families but also for their community, offering high-quality, locally raised food that people could trust.

Together with their wives, Racquel Standifer and Giselle Panagiotakis, Nate and Christian took the plunge into farming, turning their shared vision into a reality. But this wasn’t just a business venture—it was the beginning of something much more meaningful. As their families grew closer, they became more than just friends; they became "framily," a blend of family and friends united by a common purpose.

Life on the Farms

Our farms are located in two beautiful parts of Florida. Nate and Racquel, along with their two daughters, manage our farm in Myakka City. It’s a place where the pastures stretch out beneath wide-open skies, and where every day is spent caring for the land and the animals that call it home. For the Standifers, farming is more than just a job—it’s a way of life, a chance to teach their children about the values of hard work, responsibility, and respect for nature.

Over in Parrish, Christian and Giselle, along with their three kids, are doing much the same on their farm. The Panagiotakis family lives and breathes farming, with each member playing a role in the daily operations. From feeding the cows to tending to their chickens, turkeys and geese, it’s a true family affair, with everyone contributing to the success of the farm. For them, farming is not just about producing food; it’s about building a legacy and passing on important life lessons to the next generation.

Why We Do What We Do

At Pureland Farms, we believe that the way we raise our food matters. That’s why we’re committed to natural farming practices, raising our animals on grass, in the open air, and without the use of antibiotics or hormones. We believe that animals should be allowed to grow naturally, in a way that’s healthy for them and for the environment. This commitment to doing things the right way means that the food we produce is not only delicious but also something you can feel good about feeding your family.

But our mission goes beyond just providing good food. We want to build a community around Pureland Farms, where people can connect with their food, their farmers, and each other. We believe that knowing where your food comes from, and the people who raise it, is important. That’s why we’re so passionate about transparency, and why we’re always happy to answer your questions, share our practices, and invite you to see for yourself what makes Pureland Farms special.

Join Our Journey

We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built here at Pureland Farms, but we know that we couldn’t have done it without the support of our community. Whether you visit us at the farm, find us at a local market, or follow our journey online, we want you to feel like part of our "framily."

When you choose Pureland Farms, you’re choosing more than just food; you’re choosing a connection to the land, to the people who work it, and to the values that guide us. We invite you to join us on this journey as we continue to grow, learn, and share the fruits of our labor with you.

Thank you for being a part of Pureland Farms. Together, we’re making a difference—one pasture, one family, and one community at a time.
